A beautiful and not often seen Danish Deluxe three seater leather sofa. It’s in very good condition for its age. All the bentwood frames have been lightly refinished and are in good condition with some very minor wear in places. The springs and base is in excellent condition. The leather is in very good condition with no rips or tears. Some patina with age. The leather has been thoroughly cleaned and conditioned.
Danish Deluxe was founded in Melbourne in 1958 by Neville Ashkanasy, John Westacott, and Borg Gjorstvang, quickly establishing itself as a leader in Australian mid-century modern furniture by blending Scandinavian-inspired design with local craftsmanship. The company produced both original and licensed pieces, collaborated with renowned designers, and exported its high-quality furniture to markets in New Zealand and Hong Kong before ceasing operations in the early 1980s
