This maker is one of my favourite Australian designers of the time. Avalon Furniture, based in Melbourne, typically used Australian hardwoods like solid Blackbean, which can be pretty different to craft, but has a beautiful tone and is a very sturdy.
These chairs are in good original condition. The upholstery is also in good condition, with only minor wear in a few places.
